What is Microsoft OneDrive?
OneDrive (previously SkyDrive, Windows Live SkyDrive, and Windows Live Folders) is a file-hosting service operated by Microsoft as part of its suite of online services. It allows users to store files as well as other personal data like Windows settings or BitLocker recovery keys in the cloud. Files can be synced to a PC and accessed from a web browser or a mobile device, as well as shared publicly or with specific people.

Any personal Microsoft account has 5GB storage space in its Microsoft OneDrive. This cloud storage space should suffice any small to medium sized WordPress sites, for their recurrent backup cycles.

PAID Microsoft personal account

For your personal Microsoft account, you can order a paid version, the OneDrive Basic. It starts with 50 GB of storage space with a cost of €2/user/month. This cloud storage space should suffice any medium to huge sized WordPress sites, for their recurrent backup cycles.

PAID Microsoft Business account

The Microsoft Business account starts at €50.40/user/year with a 1 TB (1000 GB) of storage space. This cloud storage space should suffice any medium to huge sized WordPress sites, for their for their recurrent backup cycles.

Need even more space?

The higher tiers of the Microsoft personal account for OneDrive offers by default: 1TB (1.000GB) for €7/user/month. The next tier for personal use is totally useless because it offers or 5TB (1000 GB each for 5 users) for €10/user/month. This means, that if you upgrade, you would still have the same storage space for yourself. Classic Microsoft! :)

The Microsoft Business account offers by default: 1 TB (1000 GB) for €50.40/user/year. Next tier has a similar hidden trap: Unlimited OneDrive storage* for €100.80/user/year. The trap is, that unlimited actually means 5 TB of OneDrive storage per user.
