How to display tooltips in your online form?
This tutorial is part of the owl Contacts - recommended scenarios for your marketing and WordPress. With this post, you will understand why and how to display tooltips in your online form.
What are the tooltips?
The tooltip or infotip or a hint is a common graphical user interface element. It is used in conjunction with a cursor, usually a pointer. The user hovers the pointer over an item, without clicking it, and a tooltip may appear—a small "hover box" with information about the item being hovered over.
Reasons to use tooltips
1. The tooltip can display anything from the full name of the object the mouse is hovering on, to displaying additional information or a detailed explanation of what that tool or object does.
2. Tooltips are displayed right on your web page. This is important because you can quickly provide help to users, right on the spot. And that’s a big user experience wins.
3. Since tooltips are displayed right on your web page, they are highly relevant to the task at hand. Relevance is the key to an effective end-user support. You can only help your user if he is in need of help. Otherwise, your help message will be dismissed at first sight. With a tooltip, it’s relatively easy to serve pertinent, bite-size help tips in a context of the page or task at hand.

PRO TIP: If your form is in a tight space (like a floating bar) it is recommended to disable to tooltip feature. This will avoid a constantly moving action, as the user hover will push down the form to create space for the tooltip.
